White River
This must be the most wonderful way for a family to enjoy a golfing weekend in the Lowveld. Franschoek
Every Hugo enjoys the Franschoek valley - its in our blood - anyway after a recent visit I though it would be nice to put up some information about two special places we visited. The Corner House is a super getaway. Walking distance to the village - its more than just a B&B - you'll love your stay here. Chamonix wine farm also has a really splendid restaurant where we enjoyed a delightful lunch, award winning wines and the best view over the valley. I hope you'll remember to visit them next time you're in the Cape.

Jatinga
Just 3.5 hours from Johannesburg. This gracious retreat is a beautiful place to rest. Their food has always been amazing and the ambience makes it taste even nicer. We usually have long leisurely breakfasts over looking the azalea filled garden and then take a gentle walk along the river on their property.

Kings Camp
Bordering the Kruger National Park the Timbervati has a few exclusive lodges to stay at. The land here is very special with sandy rivers flowing through the bush. The fences are down between the Kruger Park and the Timbervati and game is abundant. We visited again recently just after the land had been burned. Before arriving we thought there was probably little chance of seeing anything and reminded ourselves that it wasn't the game we were there to see but just to spend 5 days in the bush.
